Dubai malls are far beyond just shopping. Many of them hold world records, hide full-scale entertainment parks, indoor ski resorts, observation decks, waterfront promenades, and even roller coasters running through the buildings. Even if shopping isn’t part of your plans, these places are still worth adding to your route as some of the city’s most iconic destinations.

The biggest and most visited mall in the world, with over 111 million visitors in 2024. Beyond shopping, it’s basically a full entertainment district: Dubai Aquarium, an Olympic-sized ice rink, endless luxury boutiques, a massive food hall, cinemas, and direct access to Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountain.
One of its main records is the total size — over 1.1 million m², making it the world’s largest shopping mall by total area.

One of Dubai’s most iconic malls and home to Ski Dubai, the indoor ski resort that made the place famous far beyond shopping. Inside, you’ll find luxury and high-street brands, VOX Cinemas, family entertainment, a huge dining selection, and direct metro access.
Its main record is the 22,500 m² snow-covered area inside Ski Dubai, making it one of the world’s largest indoor snow parks.

One of Dubai’s newest lifestyle malls, built around open spaces, modern architecture, and a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the city’s older mega malls. Alongside fashion and dining, it’s known for family entertainment, large outdoor areas, and The Storm Coaster running directly through the building.
The ride holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest indoor roller coaster at 670+ meters.

Built along the waterfront, this mall is more about the atmosphere than speed shopping — open promenades, marina views, restaurants by the water, and one of the best sunset spots in the area. Alongside fashion brands and cafés, visitors mostly come here for evening walks and the nightly IMAGINE show.
IMAGINE holds a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest water projection surface at 4,200 m².

Built around the travels of explorer Ibn Battuta, this mall is divided into themed courts inspired by China, India, Persia, Egypt, Tunisia, and Andalusia. Instead of a typical mall layout, each section feels almost like a movie set with massive domes, hand-painted ceilings, and detailed architecture.
With a total area of 521,000 m², it’s officially recognized as the world’s largest themed shopping mall.

Located in the center of Palm Jumeirah, this mall is more lowkey and residential compared to Dubai’s mega malls, with rooftop restaurants, cafés, cinemas, and direct access to The Palm Tower. Most people come here for the quieter atmosphere, sea views, and The View at The Palm observation deck rising 240 meters above the island.

More of an open-air lifestyle district than a traditional mall, City Walk mixes shopping with cafés, restaurants, art installations, hotels, and entertainment spaces spread across walkable streets. It’s especially popular for its modern architecture, outdoor atmosphere, and a huge concentration of fashion and dining spots in one area.
The district covers more than 1 million ft², making it Dubai’s largest open-air lifestyle destination.
