Where to Find Nature in Dubai

Parks, gardens and green escapes across the city.
Dubai isn’t all skyscrapers, beaches and desert landscapes. The city is also home to botanical gardens, forest trails, sprawling parks and even an indoor rainforest filled with thousands of plants and animals.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet walk, a family-friendly day outdoors or simply a break from the usual city scenery, these spots offer a different side of Dubai — one with a little more shade, greenery and fresh air.

Mushrif Park

Al Khawaneej, Mushrif
One of the greenest places in Dubai and a reminder that the city is not all skyscrapers and beaches. The park is filled with mature trees, shaded paths and enough space to spend a few hours outdoors without feeling surrounded by the city.

People come here for cycling, walking, picnics and weekend barbecues. There are also playgrounds, sports facilities and one of Dubai’s most popular mountain biking trails.

Raffles Botanical Garden

Raffles Dubai, Oud Metha
Hidden inside the grounds of Raffles Dubai, this garden feels very different from the rest of the city. The space is divided into four themed sections inspired by the natural elements: earth, water, air and fire.

Most people visit the hotel without realising these gardens are open to explore. A quiet place for a short walk, especially if you’re already in the Oud Metha area.

Dubai Quranic Park

Al Khawaneej 1
One of Dubai’s most underrated parks. Alongside walking paths and gardens, you’ll find the Cave of Miracles, the Glass House with plants mentioned in the Quran, and plenty of shaded spots to escape the city for a while.

It’s peaceful, well-maintained and surprisingly green. A good option if you want a slower afternoon without malls, beach clubs or crowds.

The Green Planet

City Walk
An indoor rainforest in the middle of Dubai with more than 3,000 plants and animals spread across several levels. Expect tropical birds, sloths, reptiles and a huge artificial tree at the centre of it all.

It feels completely different from the rest of the city and works especially well during the hotter months when being outside is less appealing.

XPark Jr

Kite Beach, Jumeirah
A nature-focused play park designed for kids who prefer climbing, splashing, building and exploring over screens. There are water areas, rope courses, treehouses and plenty of space to run around.

Popular with families thanks to the shaded outdoor setting and activities that keep children busy for hours.

Hidden Forest Trail

Nad Al Sheba
A quiet tree-lined trail that feels surprisingly removed from the rest of Dubai. Most people come here for a walk, a run or simply a break from the usual city scenery.

There’s not much infrastructure, which is exactly the point. Just shade, birds and one of the greenest corners of the city.

Al Safa Park

Al Safa
One of Dubai’s oldest and most loved parks. Large lawns, lakes, running tracks and plenty of picnic spots make it popular with everyone from families to runners.

The views of Downtown and Burj Khalifa in the distance are a nice bonus, especially around sunset.

Al Mamzar Beach Park

Al Mamzar
A mix of beaches, palm-lined parks and picnic areas all in one place. You can spend the day swimming, cycling, barbecuing or simply relaxing by the water.

Much quieter than many of Dubai’s more central beaches, which is part of its appeal.

Dubai Butterfly Garden

Al Barsha South
Home to thousands of butterflies flying freely inside climate-controlled domes filled with plants and flowers. It’s one of those places that feels much bigger once you get inside.

A fun stop for both adults and kids, especially if you’re looking for something different from Dubai’s usual attractions.
