Be Like a Prince: 8 Sheikh Hamdan‘s Habits Worth Borrowing
Princes, it turns out, sometimes do relatively ordinary things. They drink coffee, go to the mountains, take photos of buildings, spend time with their families. Somewhere between falcons and poetry, Sheikh Hamdan’s routine looks less ceremonial than expected — and oddly familiar. We looked at these everyday habits, and why some of them suddenly feel worth borrowing.
Or a snowboarding, to be more specific — apparently, that’s Sheikh Hamdan’s preference. Courchevel is truly a European winter classic, not that we’ve ever questioned prince’s taste — it’s just one of the many confirmations that it’s impeccable. So text your friends that you have a perfect next destination, and please make sure that this trip leaves the group chat.

The Saudi prince is known (among other cool things) for his love for falcons. He reportedly even bought once 80 airplane sits for each of his birds. Though, we are not suggesting you buy the whole flock immediately, taking a workshop or two in falconry might be a step towards the royal lifestyle.

If your reflex camera has been sitting on the farthest shelf since early 2010's (remember the hipster era?) — it’s time to brush the dust off. The Saudi prince is mostly into architecture and animal photography, and even has his art in his profile’s highlights. It’s literally the best UAE travel promos we’ve ever seen. We are sure he wouldn’t mind if you take inspiration from his pictures and also capture some gorgeous Dubai views.

If the UAE prince does it, it is not cringe. Sheikh Hamdan went even further and collaborated with FIX (the original Dubai chocolate brand) to produce his own flavour with Halawat. If you’re not keen on chocolate, no worries. Sheikh is a sweet tooth in general, so eating more desserts can also be counted as following prince’s steps.

Sheikh Hamdan regularly visits local Dubai coffee shops — like BEYOU and The Espresso Lab. By the way, prince also knows how to make great coffee himself. He started his 42 birthday with a cup of fresh coffee, that he cooked in a traditional arabic pot — a dallah.

Not everybody knows this, but Fazza is actually prince’s pen name that he adopted in his teenage years. Prince has been deeply into poetry for years. He writes about love, horses, experiences. We think that composing poems is a wonderful way to reflect on your life and express your feelings in a healthy way — even of you don’t want to publish anything later.
